Canfora was founded in 1946, and became internationally famous in 1962 when the sandals were sought out by Jacqueline Kennedy on a visit to Capri as First Lady. She ordered several pairs of sandals, including the “K” style which was designed especially for her by Amedeo Canfora.  Every sandal is entirely hand sewn from the finest Italian leather, and the quality is exceptional.
