Madeline Weinrib x Kashmir Loom Iznik Ivory Papier-Mâché Bangles

Regular price $55

Miniature hand-painted, hand-carved wood bangles. Made in collaboration between Kashmir Loom and Madeline Weinrib.

This collection takes its inspiration from the Iznik tiles of the Topkapi Palace. Miniature hand-painting is a technique dating back to the 15th century in Kashmir. Our mission is to rethink and restore heritage craft to its original beauty while speaking to a modern audience one object at a time.

“I’m thrilled to introduce my new collection with Kashmir Loom, which features handmade papier-mâché items. Our collaboration breathes new life into the traditional art of papier-mâché and hand-carved wood products, offering a revitalized point of view.”–Madeline Weinrib

Designer Spotlight

Madeline Weinrib x Kashmir Loom

Textile designer Madeline Weinrib's long-standing collaboration with Kashmir Loom celebrates a shared devotion to heritage and handcraft. Drawn to old-world patterns and textiles, Weinrib reinterprets them for today—honoring regional craftsmanship and the soulful beauty of handmade work.

Inspired by the Iznik tiles of Istanbul's Topkapi Palace, the collection features hand-painted papier-mâché boxes, bracelets, candlesticks, napkin rings, and hand-embroidered Iznik shawls in exquisite shades of cream, red, blue, and green.

As Weinrib notes, "By holding on to traditional methods, we maintain the touch, the feel, the humanity, and the story. Each design object becomes a treasure versus something mass-produced." For her, the true value of craft lies not only in design, but in the process itself—each piece alive with continuity, character, and history.
